The panel was moderated by Judith Blumenthal, MBA `84, PhD `88, Professor of Clinical Management & Organization at the USC Marshall School of Business and member of the Board of Directors of Guess?, Inc. The panel featured other distinguished women in business: Paula Kent Meehan, founder of industry giant Redken Laboratories, and Anne-Merelie Murrell, president of Giroux Glass Inc.

                     How important was mentoring?

How do you stay competitive and relevant in environments dominated by men?

What major changes did you make and what advice do you have for other women looking to do the same?

Discuss th epressures and difficulties of managing a professional career while starting/maintaining a family/personal life?

Any regrets? If you could go back, what would you do differently and why?

As leadng women in your professions, what characteristics or philosophies that you’ve adopted have helped you succeed and what advice would you give women who are erly in their careers?

In her remarks, Jane Jelenko briefly introduced the gathering of women to her recently published book, Changing Lanes: Road Maps to Midlife Renewal and told the story of the turtle awards which is documented in the first blog on this site.

The event took place on the USC University Park Campus. The Alumni Association provided free copies of Changing Lanes to all attendees.
