Leading L.A. Boomers Gather to Celebrate Inspiring New Guide to Midlife change
Sunday, January 20, 2008
On Jan. 20, more than 100 of L.A.’s prominent baby boomers welcomed Changing Lanes: Road Maps to Midlife Renewal at a lively private launch party.
Former—and in some cases still very active—lawyers, academics, business leaders, even an L.A.-district-attorney-turned-renowned-urban-photographer, celebrated Changing Lanes in style at a stunning art-filled home in West Los Angeles. Also on hand were several of the “change artists” whose remarkable stories of midlife turnaround are chronicled in the book.
Changing Lanes authors Jane Jelenko, a former KPMG Consulting partner, and Susan Marshall, former AT&T Broadband senior vice president, presented a brief but inspiring reading, then resumed signing books for a lengthy queue of enthusiastic Changing Lanes fans.
Popular independent L.A. bookseller Book Soup handled on-site sales, and will continue to offer Changing Lanes at its landmark Sunset Strip store. Changing Lanes also is available at Barnes & Noble in Santa Monica, and online at Amazon.com.
Next up on Changing Lanes’ calendar is a book group reading and signing at Barnes & Noble in Santa Monica on Jan. 28 at 11:30 a.m. Co-author Jane Jelenko invites interested readers to “come and take the first step toward a satisfying second act.”
